The difference between IVF and egg donation

Unlike IVF, in which the eggs are from the future mother, egg donation consists of the in vitro fertilization of eggs supplied by an egg donor.

What does the egg donation treatment consist of?

It consists in the subcutaneous administration of gonadotropins, hormones physiologically present in the woman’s body, which stimulate the growth of follicles. This phase lasts about two weeks and has the purpose of promoting the maturation of multiple ovarian follicles, allowing the recovery of an adequate number of ova for IVF in Mexico.
