A journey towards creating your miracle

Ovarian stimulation

It consists in the subcutaneous administration of gonadotropins, hormones physiologically present in the woman’s body, which stimulate the growth of follicles. This phase lasts about two weeks and has the purpose of promoting the maturation of multiple ovarian follicles, allowing the recovery of an adequate number of ova for IVF in Mexico.

Monitoring follicular development

During ovarian stimulation treatment, the future mother should undergo regular checks to allow the medical team to monitor and control the body’s response to the therapy, adjust the dosage of drugs where necessary, and determine the best moment to retrieve eggs for in vitro in Mexico.

Egg Retrieval

A minimally invasive surgical procedure. It is carried out in the operating theatre by the medical team and consists of aspirating the follicles and the eggs they contain. After the retrieval, the patient remains under observation for a few hours to monitor her condition, and is then discharged, marking a key step in IVF in Mexico.

Preparing the sperm sample

This step allows the properties of the sperm to be optimised, and its ability to fertilise eggs improved. Where the use of donor sperm is recommended, a frozen sample is taken from our bio-bank, and defrosted before use, ensuring the highest success rates for in vitro fertilization in Mexico.

Fertilisation and embryo culture

The retrieved eggs and the sperm of the partner or donor are brought together in a culture plate in the laboratory. After approximately 20 hours, checks determine the outcome of the fertilisation process and the formation of zygotes. These continue their development, creating new embryos for IVF in Mexico.

Embryo transfer

This is the transfer to the uterus of one or more embryos obtained by in vitro fertilisation. It is a completely painless and extremely precise procedure, during which the medical team introduce the embryo into the uterus. Following the treatment, the patient can return to her normal everyday life, a significant milestone in IVF in Mexico.

Monitoring follicular development

Some 10-14 days later a pregnancy test is carried out by blood sample, which detects the level of β-hCG, the hormone produced by the embryo following its implantation in the endometrium. If the test is positive, an initial ultrasound examination is carried out a few weeks later to detect the embryo’s heartbeat, a joyous occasion for many undergoing IVF in Mexico.
